This past Saturday was beautiful: the sun was out, the stores and streets were packed, patios were open for the first time this spring, and the Saturday farmer’s market in market square was back (on a smaller scale), with no sign of the ice rink from the past few months – I walked forever and even got my first sorbet/ice cream of the season at Menchie’s (try the honeydew melon sorbet – soooo good!). As I said, a beautiful day.
Here are some pictures of spring’s awakening this past weekend:
Beautiful flowers at the market:
The market, though normally much bigger and busier, was a welcome sight:
I picked up a gorgeous rosemary plant from one of the stalls. It smelled amazing and I can’t wait for Passover to be over so I can make some beautiful pasta and sole with loads of rosemary, olive oil, and garlic (which I promptly bought at the store after the rosemary purchase).
Wishing you the best of everything,
